Cad software?

I was wondering if anyone could help me find some cad software that would be ideal for structural engineering type of things where u plug in numbers and it will tell u the measurements of the metal and etc.,, i have googled it a zillion times and there are so many types of cad software i really don't know wat to pic...........thanks its for an aerospace contract i believe also by aerospace ontract i just mean that i have to build parts, and etc

1. I have only worked with SolidWorks so far, and I know it is able to, using scripts. Whether it's the best however, especially for aerospace I don't know.
2. AutoCad can calculate mass properties (moments of inertia ...etc). AutoCad Mechanical edition would be for you.
3. autodesk inventor... pretty much industry standard, but it is big bucks. (students can use it free for one year) solidworks is another
