Cad software?
I was wondering if anyone could help me find some cad software that would be ideal for structural engineering type of things where u plug in numbers and it will tell u the measurements of the metal and etc.,, i have googled it a zillion times and there are so many types of cad software i really don't know wat to pic...........thanks its for an aerospace contract i believe also by aerospace ontract i just mean that i have to build parts, and etc

- I have only worked with SolidWorks so far, and I know it is able to, using scripts. Whether it's the best however, especially for aerospace I don't know.
- AutoCad can calculate mass properties (moments of inertia ...etc). AutoCad Mechanical edition would be for you.
- autodesk inventor... pretty much industry standard, but it is big bucks. (students can use it free for one year) solidworks is another
